Sharp lc-32d5u review

When shopping for a high definition television, I suggest looking for a TV with a built in HDTV tuner. Why? Having a built in receiver saves you the trouble, time and money of buying and installing the high def receiver. The Sharp lc-32d5u has this feature amongst others. This 32" inch LCD TV offers vivid colors, and amazing pixel resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.

With HDTV not only do you get crystal clear image quality, you also get the exact same aspect ratio as the big screen at the movie theaters. The aspect ratio is 16:9, not 4:3 like regular types of televisions.

other features include :

  • accessories include, tabletop stand, remote control, two AAA batteries, AC cord, cable clamp, cable tie, G-Link cable, and owners manual
  • 170 degree viewing angle is perfect, watch TV from any spot in the room
  • you can watch the following resolutions, 480p, 720p, and the 1080i
  • TV Guide OnScreen feature - this options enables you to control the TV
  • stereo sound is provided courtesy of two 20 watt speakers that are detachable
  • enjoy the lvm-37w1 LCD TV from anywhere in the room courtesy of the 176 degree viewing angle
  • two 10 watt speakers
  • 60,000 hours of lamp life
  • 1 year parts and labor

Epinions has priced this LCD TV for $1,600.00, and amazon is selling it for, $1,989.99.From my own research many of my price comparisons show that epinions offers cheaper prices in almost every situation.

online reviews - what consumers think

Overall consumers on epinions give the lc-32d5u a 5 out of star rating. At amazon the ratings are lower ar 3 out of 5.

  • "This LCD was very cheap! The video performance is great via both component and DVI inputs. It looks wonderful when we use it as a computer monitor as well. it has a very intuitive user menu, and very easy setup. We have this television on our fireplace mantle in our bedroom and it looks amazing. A few minor issues though. During High motion scenes in movies and games, we do see a small amount of ghosting (after images) but this is a rarity. the Stand looks bad with the speakers removed too. I have heard a few people complained about the remote control that the quality is cheap, and they felt the picture quality was better on Sharp and Samsung TVs.

Sharp does offer other sizes in LCD televisions, including: 13”, 15", 20", 26", 27", 32", 45", right up to 65” inches. If you're searching for a 32 inch TV, I am assuming that you are planning on using it in a smaller area such as your kitchen or bedroom. You can save some space by installing the lc-32d5u on your wall with the help of a wall bracket.

Other Sharp LCD TVs, that you might want to review and compare to this model include, LC-32GA5U/LC-32GA5E, Aquos LC-32G4U, LC-32D7U, Aquos LC-32GD4U, LC-32GD6U, LC-32P50E, LC-32D6U, LC-32DA5U and the LC-32D4U.
